To all coaches, managers, players and parents

Pine Rivers Netball Association (PRNA) have brought a very serious matter to the attention of all club's playing at the Lawnton venue.  They have advised there has been an increase in incidents being reported to PRNA of misconduct.  As a result, they are reminding everyone who participates in the sport or is involved with players of the sport that they are to conduct themselves as per the relevant code of conduct.

ACE would like to reinforce to all players, coaches, managers and parents that any belittling of players/umpires, the use of inappropriate language, and rough play WILL NOT be tolerated.

IF anyone witnesses such behaviour, it is to be reported to the Umpiring Officer by the manager/coach DURING the game.  It is difficult for any action to be taken against misconduct after the incident has taken place.  IF any teams have concerns in relation to a playing against a particular team and prefer more experienced umpires for the game, they are to bring this to the attention of the Umpiring Officer PRIOR to the fixture being undertaken to ensure an appropriate level umpire is assigned to the game.

The Umpiring Officer (Lyn Downes) can be contacted on ld144439@bigpond.net.au with a cc to prna@pineriversnetball.org.au or by phoning the courts on 3881 1107.

It is essential that everyone involved with the game of netball abides by the code of conduct to ensure a safe and enjoyable playing environment for everyone.
