The ACE committee is made up of volunteers who ensure that the club is run efficiently and successfully for all its' members. President

The president is responsible for leading the committee. This person will chair the monthly committee meetings and assists and direct the committee in their decision-making capacity. The president ensures that the policies are developed to enhance the welfare of the club and all its members. They also attend the monthly meetings held at the South Pine Sports Association (SPSA).

Vice President

The vice president chairs the committee in the absence of the president and is expected to attend the monthly South Pine Sports Association (SPSA) meetings along with the president. Information arising from these meetings is to be reported back to the clubs committee meetings. The vice president also plays a role in identifying and sourcing sponsorship opportunities.

Secretary

 

The secretary is responsible to record and document the minutes of the clubs monthly meetings for circulation. The secretary must attend the Pine Rivers Netball Associations (PRNA) bi-monthly delegate meetings and report back to the clubs committee meeting. They have the responsibility to ensure an ACE committee member attends each monthly PRNA delegate meeting if they are unable to attend.

Treasurer

The treasurer is responsible for taking account of the club’s finances. This person is required to balance the club’s income and expenditure against the monthly bank statement and provide a report to the committee every month showing this activity. They are responsible for paying the club’s bills and ensuring any outstanding payments are collected. This person also engages the auditor for the end of year final assessment. This person can be responsible for gaining any grant funding.

Registrar - PRNA/BNA

 

This position is busiest at the start of the season and then quietens down when the season is underway. The registrar is responsible for ensuring all netball players, coaches, managers and umpires are captured on the club’s records and provided to the relevant association by the due dates in order for the teams to be nominated with that association. They are the liaison officer between the club and the association with regard to the players in each team.

Coaching Convenor (PRNA)

 

This person plays a major role in the grading process and is responsible for allocating coaches to teams, once they have been determined. The coaching convenor plays an active role throughout the season, liaising with age co-ordinators, coaches and managers. This person supports them in their capacity by organising coaching clinics and providing support where possible.

Umpiring Convenor (PRNA)

 

This role requires a lot of organisation to establish a squad of umpires (who may be experienced or in a learning capacity) to fulfil the club's weekly umpiring commitment at the PRNA. The umpiring convenor may organise umpiring workshops or provide the club with information on other workshops that may benefit the clubs players.

Uniform Convenor

 

The role of this position is to perform a stock take of current uniform supplies and order appropriate quantities to satisfy new uniform requests. The uniform convenor needs to co-ordinate the distribution of pre-ordered uniforms.  If second hand items are to be sold on behalf of members the convenor co-ordinates this.  They are required to attend registration and grading days for sales.

Equipment Convenor

 

This person is responsible for ensuring the club is stocked with sufficient equipment to meet the needs of each team for playing and training purposes. They must also allocate and account for all equipment, ensuring a register is maintained and stocktakes are completed throughout the season.

Statistician (PRNA)

 

This role entails collecting and collating the best and fairest and coaches award nominations for each Saturday fixture via the online system. These results are tallied and this information is confidentially shared with Trophy convenor.

Events Coordinator

 

This person is responsible for organising any social fundraising events, the photographer for team or individual photographs and co-ordinate the end of season break-up.  This person will heavily rely on the age co-ordinators for assistance.

Trophies Coordinator

 

This person is responsible for organising the end of year awards. This includes the team Best and Fairest trophies, team Coaches Award, Grand Finalists medallions, Player of the Year for PRNA and BNA, as well as member medallions and ‘years’ of service. They are also responsible for the co-ordination of gifts for Umpires, Coaches, Managers and organising a committee vote for the ‘Volunteer of the Year’ trophy.

Age Level Coordinators

The coordinators will be one person for each year level (non-committee members for competitive age groups) and will report to the coaching convenor throughout the season. Their position is to liaise with the coaches and managers of their year level and report any issues to the coaching convenor, collect fundraising monies, update coaches with any relevant information and assist where possible. Level Coordinators will consist of:- N8, N9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14 and Seniors.

BNA Representative

This person is the liaison officer between the members playing at Brisbane Netball Association (BNA) and report to the clubs committee. Their duty is to co-ordinate Grading and nominate and register players to the BNA. They co-ordinate umpiring, grounds and canteen duties. They liaise with the Trophy Co-ordinator towards the end of the season and supply names for awards.
